With their straightforward physical need for medications satisfied, the employees were able to spend more days on the job. These satisfied employees were able to satisfy the company’s straightforward need for more productivity. Pitney Bowes enjoyed a return on their investment within the first year.
The city of Asheville, North Carolina decided to pay for employee prescriptions for diabetic drugs. Satisfying employee’s straightforward physical need for their medications created such straightforward success for the city that Asheville began paying for hypertension and asthma drugs as well.
